Describe something you will never fully understand.

Prompt Response - Something I will never understand is women. I'm not a super social person, and I just don't understand what they are doing most of the time. I try to follow along the best I can, but I end up just getting more lost. Summary - Today in class, we presented our posters. Reflection - Today I learned about our classmates' stories and saw how they differed from mine.

Write about something that you wish you had more of.

Prompt Response - Something I wish I had more of is time, because it feels like everything happens so quickly. The last two years of high school have gone by in a blur, and its left me without enough time to do everything that I wanted to do. Summary - Today in class, we worked on the poster and discussed some of our blogs. Reflection - Today I worked on assignments.

What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

Prompt Response -  The most creative thing I have ever made is probably the designs that I create online, where I design things out of Lego to be as close as possible to the source material. Some examples are the minifig scale Nindroid Mech Dragon, or the modular buildings and model cars. Summary -  Today in class, we finished our origin myth stories and started the poster. Reflection -  Today, I checked my origin story to make sure it was ready to turn in.

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Prompt Response: What's the point of living/having material wealth if you're just going to die anyway? Cause I like to collect old LEGO, but at the same time, what's the point if one day it'll all be gone? What would happen if I were to just disappear or never have existed in the first place? Summary: Today in class, we started writing our origin myth stories. Reflection: Today, I worked on my story and thought about how I'm going to write it.

Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt Response: One time I felt lost was when I was taking the PSAT my freshman year, and the test started giving me trigonometry questions. It was very confusing, and I had no clue what I was doing because I hadn't learned that unit yet, and we wouldn't go over it till near the end of the school year. Summary: Today in class, we presented our projects. Reflection: Today, during the presentations, we went over the themes, and I learned about the other groups' presentations.

Analyze how you’ve adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge you anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

Prompt Response: A way I've adapted to this course is by focusing on the work for this class first, due to not being good at writing. One strength is that I'm good at tests, and a challenge I think will be balancing the workload with all the other work I have. Summary: Today in class, we took a short quiz and I aced it. Reflection: Today, we discussed the quiz questions and gained some more insight into the topic.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

Prompt Response: A time in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship I had was during elementary school, when someone I was friends with was jealous of a toy I had. This ended up causing him to steal it without me noticing one day when I had brought it to school. I got in trouble with my parents for losing it, and didn't find out he had taken it until near the end of the school year. This caused a rift in our friendship, and he moved away later that year. Summary: Today in class, we read a story called The Jealous Father as a class and started a group project. Reflection:  Today I read and learned about the story called The Jealous Father. It was interesting to read the story, and I enjoyed discussing it in class.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

Prompt Response -  An object in my life that carries a story is the LEGO set 75022 Mandalorian Speeder. It was a set that I had really wanted as a kid back in 2013 that I didn't get. One day, as I was cleaning out a closet last year, I found a bag near the back of the closet, and when I opened it, the set was in there, brand new. It turns out my parents had gotten it for my birthday and hid it so as not to spoil the surprise, and ended up forgetting about it. Summary -  Today in class, we got our school pictures taken, read a text, and discussed it. Reflection -  Today I learned of the Navajo creation myth. It was interesting to learn about how they viewed the the creation of the world and the similarities and differences to other tales and religious stories.

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Response: A time I felt connected to nature was back when I would explore the woods that are around my house. I would trek along the trails and through the bushes, watching as the squirrels would run away as I got close. I also stood around listening to the birds above me and the wind blowing by, as I followed streams and rivers. I also remember times when I would carefully make my way down a hill, making sure not to slip and avoid the thorn bushes. Being out in nature is overall pretty nice , apart from the mosquitoes and humidity. Summary: Today in class, we talked about native americans and how they told stories. Reflection:  Today I learned the difference between myths, urban legends, and religions. It is good to know the difference so that I can identify each one when needed to.
